About Los Angeles Valley College
Los Angeles Valley College is located in the eastern San Fernando Valley in Valley Village. The College celebrated the opening of its first building, the $6.6 million, 28,000 square foot, Maintenance and Operations Building and Sheriff's Station. This new building has the distinction of being the first LEEDTM-certified, bond-funded building among the nine campuses.
The Campus Center 2nd Floor and Foreign Language Building each received major renovations last summer. The Behavioral Science Building is currently under major renovation. The groundbreaking ceremony for the new Allied Health & Sciences Center was held on July 5, 2006. Valley College also recently celebrated the opening of its new state-of-the-art Monarch Stadium with its unique 10-lane Mondo track and synthetic grass playing surface.
COMING OVER THE NEXT YEAR
- Continuing construction for the Allied Health & Sciences Center, a major new academic building
- Renovation of Behavioral Sciences Building
- Upgrades to restrooms throughout campus Renovation of Gymnasium Complex
- A new Concession Stand and Restroom Project at the entrance to Monarch Stadium
- Major renovations in the summer of 2007 for the Art Building, Theater Arts Building, Music Building, Business Journalism Building and an expansion to the Motion Picture Building

The Allied Health and Sciences Center will be a 3-story, 98,000 sq. ft. facility that will house teaching labs and classrooms, and incorporate "green building" elements, including energy-efficiency measures. The building will house the Biology, Chemistry and Physics, Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, Earth Sciences, and Anthropology departments.
